One dead after two-car crash on Red Hills Road in Massey, Auckland

What happened

One person has died after a two-vehicle crash on Red Hills Road in Massey, west Auckland, on the morning of 27 September.

Police said officers responded to the serious crash around 11.30am. A police spokesperson confirmed one person died at the scene.

St John said it sent three ambulances, one rapid response unit and an operations manager. Ambulance staff treated four patients, transporting one to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition, while the other three were taken to Waitakere Hospital in moderate condition. One report has put the number of people injured at five, so the total injury count is still being confirmed.
